I've been researching for work at home jobs for awhile now. SO MANY SCAMS I tell ya. There's no way I'd pay for a JOB. I've found a couple but they have really long waiting list.
I really need a work at home job doing data entry, but where's the jobs?
Does anyone work at home doing data entry? If so, what company do you work for?
Where are the REAL work at home data entry jobs?
Some good sources of work-at-home jobs are available on http://works4dollar.blogspot.com/
Reply:I used to work for a local medical company called Columbia Analytics. It was data entry that I did at home. However this is a small start up company not sure if they are looking to hire.
Also neither here or there but this job was the worst I've had to do...tedious and time went by so slow.
Basically in order to find a data entry job I would check classifieds (internet, magazine, newspaper) they have tons of data entry jobs you just have to find out if they are work at home. Also ask friends and neighbors you never know what they will know...thats how I found the aforementioned job from my neighbor.
Reply:The work from home jobs that aren't scams actually require work on your part - and if you're in need of money soon then you're likely to be sorely disappointed in any of those as well. Most of the legit opportunities out there take time to build - so if someone makes an outrageous claim of income it probably isn't true ( and those that are true sure didn't make that kind of money when they first began ).

Time %26amp; effort required - but do your own research on what is best for you, don't take the advice of myself and others as gospel from this type of public website.

I have other ideas that may help - one of them is an online opportunity but another is one that will require a little effort to market yourself - try some data entry for local businesses, many of them don't have the time to do it in-house and will gladly pay someone else to do it. Professionals are a good place to start, lawyers, doctors, chiropractors, etc - they need their "in-house" folks doing other things rather than busy work.

Reply:I am a home schooling mother of 4 who was looking for a work from home opportunity that was ethical and legitimate. Like you, I did not want to have to invest money to start a business. I wanted something I could be proud of doing and also help other people. I didn’t want a get rich quick or multi-level marketing scheme. I did however, want support and training.

Reply:"If a company requires initial payment from you in order to work for them, they are not legitimate."
There are a few legitimate data entry companies but are not hiring and have large waiting lists (1-2yrs). The majority of data entry jobs you seen online are scams. A real company will want you to have skills inc fast typing, may want you to know MS Excel, and will usually ask that you have high speed internet. Once in a long while you may found one online on a job website but thats rare.
If you do an advanced search on yahoo, you will find previous answers, sometimes the info on these is good as the info they gave is likely to have been verified if the answer was voted as 'Best'.

has some good information on how to search recruitment websites for work at home positions.
Reply:If you are an accomplished typist - word processor and have recently visited your local city college or university librarian, you can apply as a "certified" graduate typist, earning between $1.50 to $2.00 per page for a master or doctoral thesis. The librarian will provide you with a sample of the typing template (i.e., margin settings, font selection, page set up, etc.) in order to complete these projects. An average weekend income is about $300-$400 for two days work.
Good luck!
