Data entry?

im thinking of going to college for something like data entry.

can someone give me some info on this?

also, where would you go to apply for a job like this? Thanks!

Data entry?
You do not have to go to college for data entry. If you look it up for free data entry tests you can see what ksph (key strokes per hour) you are at.

Data entry is simple and does not require a degree nor do I believe a college offers a class as such because really it would be a rip-off.

There is alpha-numeric date entry which is letters and numbers. Then there's numeric which is just numbers.

Just practice is all you need to do to get your ksph up. 8000 or more is a good ksph.

Trust me I've been doing data entry for 10 years, don't waste the money for that. Get a degree in something else you may like.

As for a job, I started off with temp agencies doing data entry. It gives you a feel and you could possibly get on with the place that you're working at temporarily. My Mom was doing date agency thru a temp agency at a major bank, then 3 months later got hired on. She's been there for 7 years.

Data entry isn't as hard as it may appear. It's quite easy.

Please be careful of any work at home jobs or links above. If they tell you for a one time price of they can get you a job, it's not true! Do no waste your money on such things!!! I repeat YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SPEND MONEY TO GET A DATA ENTRY JOB or any JOB FOR THAT MATTER! The spammers love this sort of stuff.
